Falmouth
Falmouth is a coastal town on the south side of Cornwall, known for its large natural harbour and access to several sandy beaches.
It has a university with a focus on the arts, which gives the town a creative feel and supports a number of independent shops, cafés and galleries. The town centre includes supermarkets, banks, a post office and a range of restaurants.
There is a hospital, a leisure centre and several well-regarded schools.
Ferries and coastal paths provide easy access to nearby villages and countryside. The train station connects to Truro, with onward travel available across Cornwall and beyond.
Property includes older terraced houses, larger Victorian homes, and newer developments on the edge of town. The area is popular with families, retirees and students.
Employment is mainly in education, tourism, and the marine industries, with some remote workers also based here.
The town is busy in summer but remains active year-round, with regular events and good local services.
